This Privacy Policy describes how Stable Home Fund (referred to herein as "SHF," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you access SHF's website at www.stablehomefund.org (the "SHF Site"), apply for or use any of SHF's loan products, whether through the SHF Site, through the website or mobile application of an authorized third party that facilitates applications for SHF's loan products (an 'Authorized Third-Party Platform'), or otherwise (collectively, the "SHF Service").

Capitalized terms used but not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings given such terms in the applicable Terms and Conditions.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the SHF Service, you agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not understand or agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use or access the SHF Service.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will make the new Privacy Policy available on the SHF Site. We will also update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy, and take additional steps as required by applicable law. If you do not agree to any changes, please do not continue using the SHF Service.

We collect information about you, such as from your interactions with the SHF Service, our relationships with third parties (including any Authorized Third Party), information you voluntarily provide, and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. This may include various identifiers, financial data, and other details that can be linked directly or indirectly to you or your household.

Information We Collect From You

We may collect the following categories of information from you:

Contact and Identity Information, including first and last name, email address, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, and communication preferences.
Account Information, including username, account credentials or one-time passcodes, and the loan products you are interested in, have applied for, or have otherwise used.
Payment Information, including payment card information, billing address, and other financial information (such as routing and account number).
Bank Account Information, including your income and payment information. In order to apply for or use SHF's loan products, you may be required to grant us access through a third-party processor to certain accounts you maintain online with third-party financial institutions ("Bank Accounts") in order to enable us to verify your income, rental commitments, or repayment history. Where you provide login credentials, our third-party processor (not SHF) will use industry-standard encryption to transmit and, if necessary, temporarily store such credentials solely for the purpose of establishing and maintaining your Bank Account connection.
Credit-Related Information, including Social Security number, financial information, rental history information, employment history information, credit score, credit history, and any additional credit-related information you provide to us or that we obtain to evaluate your application and provide the SHF Service.
Other Demographic Information, including race, gender, age, marital status, and veteran status, where collected in connection with program eligibility or reporting requirements.
Feedback and Support Information, including the contents of messages sent through forms, chat, email, or other contact methods, as well as recordings of calls with us.
Any Additional Information You Choose to Provide to Us, including documents you may provide (such as proof of income or hardship documentation) and messages in connection with your communications with us.

Information We Collect Automatically

As you access the SHF Site or otherwise use the SHF Service, we and third parties may use cookies, pixels or other data collection technologies to collect certain information about your device, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

Device Data, including IP address, operating system, device type and version, browser type and version, the URL entered, the referring page, date/time of visit, and any errors that may occur during your visit.
Analytics/Usage Data, including the path taken to and from the SHF Site, and usage and activity in connection with the SHF Service (e.g., pages visited, links clicked).
Location Data, including geographic location we or our third-party providers may collect, such as via IP address.

Authorized Third Parties: Information about you shared with us by an Authorized Third Party in connection with your application for or use of a loan product facilitated through the Platform, including the information described in that Authorized Third Party's own privacy policy.

Information Providers: Data from third-party information providers, including nonaffiliated third parties and consumer reporting agencies, used to verify, correct, or supplement other information we collect.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for a variety of business purposes, including:

To Evaluate Applications and Provide the SHF Service: To process your application, underwrite and service your loan product, disburse funds, and manage your account.
For Security, Fraud Prevention, and Risk Management: To detect, prevent, and respond to fraudulent activity, security incidents, and other harmful behavior, and to manage credit and underwriting risk.
To Comply with Legal and Regulatory Obligations: To respond to legal requests or court orders, meet lending and consumer-finance regulatory requirements, and protect our legal rights.
For Servicing and Account Communications: To communicate with you about your application, loan, repayment, and account status.
To Support and Improve the SHF Service: To enhance the functionality, security, and user experience of the SHF Service.
As Described at the Time of Collection: For other purposes disclosed to you at the time of collection or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

How We Share Your Information

We may share your information as follows:

With Authorized Third Parties: We share information with Authorized Third Parties to facilitate your loan application and to transmit information between you, SHF, and your landlord or servicer, where applicable.
With Service Providers: We share information with third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processing, communications, provision of cookies and other data collection technologies, identity verification, loan servicing, and hosting.
With Credit Bureaus and Information Providers: Where applicable to underwriting or servicing your loan, we may disclose information to consumer reporting agencies or receive information from them in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other applicable law.
To Comply with Law: We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SHF, our users, or others.
In Corporate Transactions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy.

Data Security

We have implemented commercially reasonable security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. However, despite our efforts to protect your information, no security measures are impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee “perfect security.” Any information you send to us electronically, while using the SHF Service or otherwise interacting with us, may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to send us sensitive or confidential information.

Data Retention

We retain your information as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. When determining the length of time to retain your information, we consider various criteria, including whether we need the information to continue to provide you the SHF Service, resolve a dispute, enforce our contractual agreements, prevent harm, promote safety, security and integrity or protect ourselves, including our rights, property or services.

Children's Privacy

The SHF Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without parental consent. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a person under 18 without parental consent, we will delete that information.
